The TAB is arguably Australia’s biggest bookmaker due to their in-store betting at TAB venues and their online betting at TAB.com.au.
Their website has grown rapidly in recent years and continues to improve on a regular basis. The TAB.com.au website has a number of great features that other bookmakers simply can’t match such as their live stream of the 3 Sky Racing channels that cover every Australian Thoroughbred, Harness and Greyhound race.
While TAB.com.au do offer occasional bonus bets for matched deposits, they currently don’t offer any incentives for new members making it hard for them to compete with corporate online bookmakers except for when you Register at the TAB.com.au via this link.
Tab Betting Products
TAB.com.au have a number of nice betting products but also lack some of the great products that corporate bookies offer.
As we touched on above, they offer the best live streaming coverage of any bookmaker in the country and it’s worth signing up to TAB just to take advantage of this service.
However their lack of real betting products is a down fall. They only offer their own fixed odds or tote odds which makes them somewhat uncompetitive with bookmakers who offer the best of 3 tote odds.
The TAB Rewards program was very much a game changer for the industry. TAB Rewards requires you to sign up seperately to your normal TAB account but every bet you place on TAB.com.au earns your rewards points which can be used on a whole host of items including household items, free bets and sport & event tickets.
You can also use your TAB Rewards card at their betting shops simply by scanning the card before placing your bet.
While TAB.com.au do have a number of key products that other bookmakers can’t match, making them a great alternative over bookmakers such as Sportsbet and Crownbet.
We do love their live streaming and they can occasionally offer some great betting promotions.
Overall it’s a bookmaker better used for their occasional offers and live streaming rather than an everyday betting account.
